Initial Ideas, Private Gardens

These are some initial ideas and sketches for an inner city garden escape. The idea I had was a place for lovers or friends to meet in the city, to come meet, relax, and find some quiet.

This was one of the first drawings of the space, deciding if I wanted to use one or two boat sheds. Decided on one because with two boat sheds the space felt too open and not intimate
Elevation sketch, showing one open space and one closed. The shutters offer privacy while still allowing light to enter. As shown thereof space is a large window to again let more light enter.
Section view of the space. There is grass on the floor and surrounded by plants the user is able to get back to nature and reconnect, in a secure and private setting, sheltered from the elements.
The hanging chair encourages the users to come together, and is faced outwards towards the view and out across the harbour.
Model showing a plan view of the space
Model showing perspective into the shed, but also how closed gardens would look.
